A thorough knowledge of the Foundation Syllabus is essential. The recommended source is the BCS textbook 'Software Testing - A BCS Foundation' by Hambling et al, or recent attendance of the Foundation course (STF-2). Examination candidates must hold the BCS Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
Pre-study: Delegates are strongly recommended to revise the Software Testing Foundation materials before attending this course.
Please Note: Please ensure you take your Software Testing Foundation Certificate number or software testing foundation certificate with you to the course, as this information is required by the examining board when registering for the exam.
If you are taking a BCS exam you must bring photographic identification with you (passport, driving license or student card), as it is a BCS requirement to produce it for the invigilator prior to the exam. Failure to produce a valid form of photographic identification will result in a candidate not being able to sit the exam.
The BCS also allows additional time for candidates who have a disability or whose business language is not English. Candidates can request this additional time in line with the BCS reasonable adjustments policy.
If you believe you qualify for this, please contact our exam administration team (01793 608815) as early as possible. At least three weeks' notice will be required for processing this request and delegates failing to adviseConnect 2 Courses and provide proof if requested by the BCS, may not be allowed the additional support offered via this BCS policy
For any questions about what form of identification is acceptable, or for more information about the BCS reasonable adjustments policy, please contact your Account Manager or the Connect2Courses Examination Administration team on 44 (0)1793 608815
